Kit / M / 10 months / Chihuahua mix / 5lbs / Fostered in Toronto 

Kit is an absolutely adorable little guy with a face that will instantly melt your heart. This sweet chihuahua has all the classic charm of his breed - he's cuddly, vocal, and knows exactly how to work those puppy dog eyes to get what he wants!  His favourite things include cuddles and belly rubs - Kit is a total love bug who thrives on affection, daily walks - He's ready to explore the world with his favorite human, being the center of attention - This little guy would love to be your one and only. 

Kit is naturally shy when meeting new people and may bark or growl initially, but don't let that fool you - he warms up quickly and becomes friendly within just a few hours. He's mischievous and clever (classic chihuahua!), so he needs an owner who can provide consistent boundaries and won't fall for his adorable manipulation tactics. He's quite vocal, especially when nervous or overstimulated, and has a very high prey drive - squirrels and pigeons beware! Kit also prefers to stay dry and won't venture out in the rain.

Potty Training: Mostly house-trained with regular outdoor access; signals clearly when he needs to go out (4-5 breaks daily)

Leash Manners: Good walker who doesn't pull, except when his prey drive kicks in around small animals

Crate Training: Not currently crate trained but shows potential and would benefit from this structure

Boundaries: A smart cookie who tests limits but responds well to consistent guidance

Kit would absolutely thrive as an only dog in a quiet household where he can soak up all the love and attention. He could potentially live with another dog his size who is laid back and easy going, but he can be selective about his canine friends. No cats or kids under 12 in the home. Kit can be a bit anxious when left alone and would benefit from confidence-building activities. He's working on his social skills with new people and dogs, but with patience and the right approach, he blossoms into the loving companion he's meant to be.

Kit is looking for a patient, understanding family who will appreciate his unique personality and help him continue building confidence. In return, you'll get a devoted, affectionate companion who will shower you with love and keep you entertained with his clever antics!
