Scarlett is a sweet, sensitive dog who's ready to find her perfect person to love and follow everywhere. This former stray has blossomed in foster care and is looking for someone special who understands that the best things in life are worth waiting for.
Nothing makes Scarlett happier than curling up on her person's lap - it's her absolute favourite spot in the world. She's also discovered she loves car rides and has formed a beautiful bond with her foster dad. Scarlett is house trained, walks wonderfully on leash, and gets along well with other dogs. She does need to gain a few more pounds.
Scarlett is the definition of a loyal companion who will be your devoted shadow. She's a gentle soul who may seem shy at first meeting - she might even give a quiet little growl to say "give me a moment, please" - but with a little patience and space to approach at her own pace, she'll welcome your affection. She's still working on her confidence and learning not to jump on furniture (like tables), but she's eager to please and making great progress.
Scarlett is looking for a very patient adopter who will help her continue building confidence in a world that sometimes feels overwhelming. She can be nervous around sudden movements and loud noises, so her ideal home is a quiet, low-traffic household in a peaceful neighbourhood. She'd do best with someone who's home often and understands that good things take time.
