Jesse is a sweet, affectionate boy who has truly stolen the hearts of everyone. Whether he's snuggled up beside you on the couch, curled up tight with his person at bedtime, or happily trotting along on a walk, Jesse brings joy everywhere he goes.

Jesse is a true homebody who lives for lazy mornings (seriously — you'll have to convince him to get out of bed!) and cozy evenings snuggled up with his people. He is not a fan of being crated and is much happier free-roaming the house, so a home where he has that freedom would suit him best. He mostly just wants to be near you.

Don't let his love of sleeping in fool you — once Jesse is outside, he's full of energy and loves his walks! Once the adventure is over, he's more than happy to head straight back to bed.

Jesse is absolutely wonderful with children — he's been sleeping cuddled up beside the little one in his foster home every single night. He is equally loving with adults and would happily be a velcro dog to whoever will have him. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and has shown zero aggression. He's also completely unbothered by cats, even when they walk all over him!

Jesse may be deaf or significantly hard of hearing, but he is remarkably adaptable — he follows visual cues and routines like a champ and doesn't let it slow him down one bit. He does vocalize when left alone or crated, so he would thrive best in a home where someone is around most of the time. He's also working on his house training and does well as long as he gets a bathroom break every 4–6 hours.

Jesse is doing great medically! He's had a dental procedure (including 7 tooth extractions) and his mouth has healed beautifully. He does have a history of urinary crystals and must remain on a strict urinary canned diet to keep him healthy long-term. He will absolutely try to mooch your dinner — don't let that face fool you! He'll also need regular grooming appointments and routine anal gland care. A little trazodone beforehand makes grooming a breeze for him.
